ABOUT RYAN
I was born in Ypsilanti and currently reside in Ypsilanti Township. I attended the Roberto Clemente Student Development Center which offered a unique approach to education, as a strong emphasis was placed on building communication between students’ families and faculty to ensure students succeed.

Shortly after, I enrolled at Washtenaw Community College. I actively participated in organizations with my fellow students and even led initiatives to bring about positive changes on campus. One of my proudest achievements was leading the effort to rename the Student Center after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., in honor of his legacy and what it represents to the community.

I then transferred to Eastern Michigan University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science. My time at both schools helped me realize that I had a strong inclination toward justice and a deep passion for public service.

After graduation, I had the privilege of working for Congresswoman Debbie Dingell. While meeting with community leaders and providing constituent services to people in the City of Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township, and Superior Township I learned about the concerns of our community. I worked urgently and effectively with constituents to provide them with the connections to available county resources that could address their needs.

I’m so proud to live and work in Ypsilanti Township. I believe wholeheartedly that every single person in 48197 and 48198 should have the opportunity to become whoever they want to be. What makes the difference is opportunity and resources.

I’m running for the office of County Commissioner because I believe not only in the tremendous potential of our community, but in the power of teamwork. We need leaders who can work alongside each other for the benefit of all residents.

I will be a voice that unites, represents, and believes in all of us because we are stronger together.
